It was a tough decision, but we have decided to take a business pause for the time being. We will be stopping production and taking a break starting October 1, 2019. The support and patronage of the community over the past two years has been the catalyst for all of the success we’ve had. We truly appreciate your loyalty, feedback, and patience. Amarelo Bread is the brainchild of Carlos Caicedo (Owner and Head Baker). It's the culmination of a decade spent perfecting long-fermentation, artisanal bread-making that began back in his home country of Colombia. Throughout this journey, Carlos continued his search for "good bread" throughout Europe and across the United States. In 2011, Carlos opened "Spika Bread" in his hometown of Cali. Now in Seattle, Carlos is delighting Seattleites with hearty vegan, whole grain, sourdough breads that are as healthy and delicious as they are beautiful.
Amarelo Bread is proud to offer healthy, natural, rustic artisan bread to the Seattle area. We specialize in sourdough country loaves that are 100% vegan. We are also proud to offer gluten-free sourdough loaves. Our flour is sourced locally from Fairhaven Organic Flour Mill, Shepherd's Grain, Nash's Organic Produce, and Cairnspring Mills right here in Washington state. Our specialties include whole grain breads like our 100% rye and red wheat, seeded loaves like our sunflower flaxseed, and unique breads you won't find anywhere else—like our carrot raisin!
